Later that evening we went to watch the Dark Knight and everything I have read about the movie and the performance of Heath Ledger as the Joker was proved to be correct. Excellent movie and one that I will watch many times again as it was truly captivating viewing. The way that Batman is portrayed as a vigilante and not a hero and how chillingly the Joker weaves his path of destruction. I have shared some footage on my Facebook/FriendFeed profiles if you want to watch the action but I suggest heading to your local Theatre/Cinema/IMAX while the movie is showing and watch it in full!!

Late night for the Dark Knight!
Even though we brought enough clothes I figured that I would keep on top of the washing, with the weather being gloomy it meant that I had to improvise with the drying... After a slow start we moved on to Herne Bay to make use of the arcade machines, the children were on a mission to win as much as possible and we were lucky that one of the workers was easy going as he loaded us up with goods.

Flying low
Today we decided to go to Druidstone Park for a day out so that the children could enjoy the animals and a Bird of Prey presentation. This was very well constructed and everyone was able to get involved in one way or another. The Owl flying over everybody was great fun and made me wonder if it ever did go wrong ha! Whilst walking around the park it appeared that the Goats had sussed out their enclosure as they were all escaping and wondering about. After spending a few hours here we went down to Whitstable to relax by the Sea and to meet up with a friend who my Girl went to College with. I managed to slightly injure my toe which seems to be the norm when I go on holiday lately. At least I can now relax I guess...

Making a stand on the sand!
Today although the sky was grey we headed in the direction of Broadstairs, I have become a strong player of eye-spy on car journeys which makes me proud. We were lucky with our time on the beach as the rain held off but by the time we were back in the car for the journey back to the caravan the rain poured down. Later in the evening we went to the cinema to watch the movie Wall-E. I have read a lot of glowing reviews about the movie and they are well deserved. We all really enjoyed the story and left feeling very fulfilled, there was a poster for High School Musical 3 and the eldest couldn't help but be excited about the movie...
