Tequila Sunrise

Last night was eventful as it was another company leaving do for my friend, when my company meet up for a celebration it usually ends up messy and last night was no different. I had a few glasses of wine and enjoyed the food but didn't get involved with the Tequila or Brandy. The temptation was there but due to my last few nights out drinking in London and waking up at the last station of my train home, I figured it wise that I would bail early as didn't want to wake up in Europe again Haha.

Well my friend, it was a pleasure to work with you and also to experience your dance moves which are shown above in the video courtesy of YouTube. He has it proper going on and the way he shakes those hips has been an inspiration for not just me but many others fortunate to witness the experience. He also has a way with the ladies and smaller hands than my son which makes him truly one of a kind.

Was informed this morning that everyone was on it with the Tequila getting through three bottles. There was a high five incident where there was high but the five didn't connect properly and it ended up being a shot to the face Haha. The night went well anyway and all the best in your new employment my friend Haha. On my journey home I enjoyed my first fireworks of the year, check out the picture before my train pulled into the station as it catches so much of what was a really good display !!

Last night was a good night but I swear we got scammed with a sleeping potion instead of the Rose wine that we had asked for. Anyway I thought the night was going to be a classic as my parents were also going for something to eat and to catch a film but they realised that I was on a wind up and swerved going to the same location as us. Mainly because I was going to do a crazy role play to get them embarrassed like pretend I had a restraining order against them or that they were really famous.

Our meal was enjoyable but the wine wasn't your average wine as we felt knackered after a couple of glasses. Still had an enjoyable meal though, well loving Italian food, and then moved on to the cinema where the movie of choice was Click. I love Adam Sandler movies as he always gets cast with the same crew and I reckon that they must have a blast meeting up and making comedies together. I thought the movie was good and a novel concept which was better than I first thought. It gets you really thinking, not just about the possibilities you could have with the remote. It was deeper than just controlling time as it was about looking after what really matters. So not solely concentrate on your work but showing that you need to have quality time as people rely on you for more than just bringing home the bread. Anyway I firmed the film which is more than could be said for others Haha. Just messing as we were both in need of some Gummi Berry Juice to get us in gear but we made it home regardless. Today has gone pretty slow, had a meeting about delegating our workload so nothing overly exciting. After work should be good, a colleague is leaving for pastures new so we will be giving him a send off which should be eventful Haha !!

Reflection

Well after a crazy end of the day yesterday my little soldier seems back to his usual self. Their mum allowed the both of them to have a day off today and having spoke to him earlier he seemed in great voice. He is into everything so I am hoping I won't have to spend too many times by his side in hospital but I'll be there whatever happens. Read about what happened in Pennsylvania yesterday and my thoughts and prayers go out to the people affected as it's a tragic event. It's sad that people have to take innocent lives, if they feel so much anger why not join the forces or something. Anyway today was a miserable day and I don't expect as the weeks go on that it will get any warmer. Well starting to wish I had a car now, as part of the seperation it was logical for her to take the car for the childrens sake. Plus I had also received a years ban so not really practical having a car parked out front and with the temptation as well I would have been like a fly and a bright light. Not sure what to get at the moment but I think that once I send off for my license I will probably have a few long rentals while I build up my funds.

Tonight I think I will be heading out for something to eat and to catch a movie. Not sure what at the moment but I might see that World Trade Centre film even though I feel it's too soon to be cashing in on what happened that day. Still though they seem to be concentrating on the story of the fireman and I also like Nicholas Cage as he is a good actor. I think his best film was where he starred alongside John Travolta in Face Off as how good is the action. Then again Con Air and The Rock are also quality, just hyped myself up now to see Nic's performance Haha. I'm sure that I will update tomorrow on what takes place tonight so stay tuned...

Just Another Manic Monday

Okay so there was me at 8:00 this evening thinking that today had managed to pass without incident. Anyway to track back a little work flew by today, I am glad as I felt slightly hung over this morning and really felt like having a day off but I firmed it. For the first time in a while I managed to see my children on a school night which was good as I enjoy having them around me and us spending time together. Their mum picked them up just after 8:00 and went home leaving me to plan out the rest of my night.


Then the phone rings after a short period and I am informed by their mum that my boy has had an accident and fallen over cutting open his chin getting ready for bed. I can tell by her tone that she is worried so I tell her that we best go up the hospital. It's a nervous moment when you get a bad news call and as every parent will likely tell you, you're left with a lot of nervous thoughts. Anyway she arrives shortly after and we head for the hospital leaving my daughter at my parents. My boy is upset but he is keen to show everyone his injury. Waited at the hospital for an age, he was getting aggitated so I got him some goodies from the vending machine and sat there waiting to be seen. There is a real feeling of distance between me and their mother, I feel as if this person I used to spend so much time with I hardly know. Find myself fumbling my phone not knowing what to say and even the concept of small talk doesn't materialise. After seeing the Triage Nurse she goes for a McDonalds pitstop while I wait for the doctor. I really should think when it comes to hospitals though, a happy child comes over to my boy who is eating sweets and I give the child a chocolate. Next minute I know the mother is ripping the sweet from the childs mouth. Nothing too serious but later it's brought to my attention that what if the child was diabetic or nil by mouth. Then another child is sick everywhere and luckily for me she returns from her pitstop and the doctor is ready to see us. Then things start moving and my boy gets seen to and his chin gets glued. Hate seeing him hurting and he was clearly nervous and uncomfortable in the hospital. We were soon on our way after this and after she picked up my daughter who was fast asleep it was off into the night again for them and the second time that night. For me it was to the kitchen to heat up my dinner and post about it here. Go to bed Joe Haha...

BackDorm Boys

These guys are legends, these clips are well worth checking out. I have provided four clips and you can view more across the information super highway otherwise known as the internet on places like youtube and google.video. They are lip syncing mainly the Backstreet Boys, hence their name but they do have videos for other songs as well. I would like to know what the guy in the background thinks of them as he just seems to be in his own world oblivious to what they are getting up to Haha !!

Put your hands up for Detroit...

Yesterday started with a 'hello' which was an enjoyable start to the day. From that I bounced into a relaxed morning and onto the Xbox 360 where I was soon accompanied by my son who is a proper little gamer. We played Tomb Raider and also Dead Rising, anyone who has Dead Rising I have a word of wisdom and that's to play using a Hard Disk and also a Memory Card. The game only has one save so if you get into a situation after a save it's a challenge to turn around. Whilst we were on the Xbox my daughter was watching X Factor with my sister and loving it, asking loads of questions and cheering people on. Later on in the day we moved on to some intense action with Polly Pocket and the game voices were out in force. Childrens games are quality as some how when playing they always seem to switch to having an American accent Haha. After their mum had picked them up to go home it was too infinity and beyond and onwards to OHM...



Whilst preparing for my night out I saw some well funny clips from the Back Dorm Boys that my sister was watching on the PC. They well make me laugh and there were some new covers she came across that I will link to later as they are worth watching. Anyway after getting on the wine with my parents I moved on to OHM for some moving and shaking. The usual suspects were out in force and some new faces as well that don't normally grace the club. Had a rather random moment that my nose would rather forget and also nearly got thrown out as I climbed over a balcony to reach my friends and nearly got rugby tackled. Back to the random moment and there I am chatting to a friend with my mate when this smell starts burning my nose. Someone had proper dropped one and my mate charges away from me pointing. There we both are in the middle of this club pointing the finger of blame at each other. I suppose you had to be there, actually I wouldn't wish that on anyone as that hummed. Anyway the night shot by and another good night which was well packed as well as it was heaving with people. We then went on a food quest but we were unsuccessful but it was an adventure racing about banging on takeaway windows yelling for them to feed us. I suppose it's best we don't eat after midnight though as you never know what might happen...

Tragedy

Okay so yesterday was a quiet one but still it didn't pass without incident. Most of the day I was recovering from a heavy binge and enjoying seeing my children. They were happy and full of energy, from painting, playing to eating it's round the clock trying to either tidy up after them or making sure that they have had enough to drink. The incident I refer to yesterday was more of a tragedy...

When the feeling has gone and they can't go on any longer. After so much usage over the last year it's time to say a fond farewell to my straightners. That's right, nothing wrong with fellas using them these days and without them my hair just doesn't go right. They are gone though as they were pronounced no more last night as whilst doing my hair they sparked in my hands and blew the whole mains electric downstairs in my house. Today they are to be replaced and getting some GHD's dropped off to me shortly ready for tonight where I will be getting in the mix !!
