The Task

Paper is so last season according to a post from the Gmail blog announcing a mobile-friendly version of Gmail Tasks. We have begun using similar lists at work so I will try to manage my daily tasks syncing my Gmail tasks via both the iPhone and iGoogle. That said I still managed to forget an item from food shopping this evening :)

The Gmail blog states -
When we set out to build Tasks (now in Gmail Labs), one of our goals was to improve upon paper. With the version of Tasks in Gmail, we focused on making editing very fast and simple -- as close to paper as we could. But despite dual-core CPUs, 30" monitors, and high speed internet connections, many Googlers still found themselves using paper to track their tasks.

Tasks lets you manage your to-do list while you're on the go. You can create lists of things you need to get done and check off tasks as they're completed.

If you have a supported device, just go to http://gmail.com/tasks in your phone's web browser to access Tasks (Google Apps users can go to http://mail.google.com/tasks/a/your_domain, replacing 'your_domain' with your actual domain name).

At this time, Tasks is available in two versions: a basic version and an optimized version available for iPhone and Android devices. Tasks is currently available in English only.

If you have an iPhone or Android device, Tasks allows you to add, edit, and delete tasks and task lists, as well as mark tasks as completed.
