Brighton Calling...

uncertain journeyImage by paul+photos=moody via Flickr
With uncertainty about whether I would be accepted at university, due to a conversation about formal qualifications, and concerns about when I will next see my children I decided to travel to Old Street, London to help a friend distribute flyer's. Not exactly a group therapy session, but I need to stay upbeat and active. At least this gave me the opportunity to get out of the house and with the option to attend the event afterwards, I didn't need a carrot waved in my direction! I'm considering volunteering to work at several festivals in the summer to gain entry but not sure how to apply or whether I have missed the opportunity. I briefly met Alexa Chung tonight but she appeared to be in a hurry and wasn't interested in my attempted interaction. With September approaching, I admit that I'm worried that if I don't get accepted into university or find work in the North West that the distance will be a strain on my relationship. I'm really set on Higher Education and the chance to experience the university lifestyle and gain a degree so I hope that I will be accepted! After handing out the flyer's I didn't wait around, instead I travelled home because a friend managed to secure a £10 ticket for The Great Escape, Brighton. I definitely need to escape because I would like to leave this City, this old town don't smell too pretty...
