This evening I settled down to watch the US Open semi final between Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

It's been an enjoyable tournament with several incidents quickly spreading across YouTube. Novak Djokovic and John McEnroe entertaining the crowds proved popular, Kim Clijsters advancing into the final after Serena Williams was docked match point also generated interest.

Although Roger Federer tonight proved why many rate him as the player of our generation. Reacting to an impressive return, Roger Federer hit the greatest shot of his amazing career on the penultimate point. The back-to-the-net, between-the-legs running forehand in the US Open semi final was incredible to watch.
