Awaiting the Last.fm app update...

My experience with the iPhone has been great and I am already in the position where I would feel detached without it on my possession. The applications I have installed have been very beneficial although the Last.fm application has it's flaws.

Scrobbling from my iPhone seems very inconsistent as when I Sync with my PC it attempts to determine the music I have played but doesn't accurately acknowledge the songs to scrobble. Since upgrading my firmware to 2.1 I haven't been able to access any playlists from the iPhone application, instead I just get buffering followed by Station Name and no sound/artist played. I am disappointed although hopefully all is about to change...

Earlier I read on the Apple Blog that an updated version [2.0] has been submitted to Apple and is awaiting approval for it to be added to the store. Full details are yet to be made available as to what the update addresses but below are the details from the Apple Blog;

The new version includes an updated/polished UI, better tagging support, a new calendar view for events, and a cool feature that lets you see common artists when viewing other user’s profiles. Overall the updated UI really makes the experience smoother and more enjoyable.
