Lists, Enough Said..

Finally a development that I can get excited about, I'm not a supporter of the retweeting culture/echo chamber so the announcement that Twitter are to introduce Lists has caught my attention! Nick Kallen the project lead states that the idea is to allow people to curate lists of Twitter accounts.

Lists are public by default although if you prefer they can be made private. Any Lists that you create will be linked from your profile and there is the ability to see how many lists I’ve been included on. Hmmm Twitter has already become a popularity contest so doesn't this just increase that aspect of the service? Regardless, this is a feature that I have wanted introduced for a while, admittedly desktop clients and applications solve this dilemma but applying a standard will provide a consistent experience, hopefully!!
