Gift idea...

Watched Pan's Labyrinth last night and although the movie is Spanish and you have to follow the dialogue by means of subtitles don't let that turn you away. This is an amazing movie and one of the best that I have seen in a long time. It's the story of a young girl that travels with her mother and adoptive father to a rural area up North in Spain, 1944 - after Franco's victory. The girl lives in an imaginary world of her own creation and faces the real world with much chagrin. Post-war Fascist repression is at its height in rural Spain and the girl must come to terms with that through a fable of her own. Nice description hey, all courtesy of Play.com and available to buy there as well. You can also pick up Guillermo Del Toro Triple Box Set which is a must according to the comments and would make a good Christmas present.

Tonight I went out and about in London to catch some late night shopping, the sales are slowly creeping in and I managed to pick up some good buys. Still not passed the finish line yet though!!
