From Jersey to Chelsea...

Last night and this morning made me feel wicked, all of my family together with me. This usually occurs over the weekend but coming home from work to be greeted by lots of smiley faces was great. Waking up this morning to the crazy morning of rushing about and being presented with cards and presents was the best ever. My Girl had got them all to make me cards and she had brought me a beautiful watch that I wasn't expecting at all. The make is Nooka and instead of the normal analogue/digital display it's in blocks. Intrigued? Of course you are and so you should be, I think the watch compliments me well and so does Kanye West apparently..

After I had opened everything it was a deep breath and 'Thunderbirds are GO!' Had to race over to their mothers house to drop them off and then quick time back to the station. I did this before you even had time to blink, to borrow from Muhammad Ali it was a case of turning off the light switch and being in bed before the room was dark. Impressed well you should be but there are sacrifices and today I skipped having a shower which I needed as I must have undertaken the Green Mile in my sleep. Backwards through hedges, fences and through puddles, what do I do in my sleep? That is the question many of us ask ourselves, can you remember your dreams?

Work was good today, tried to slip in under the radar as don't like all the Birthday fuss at work. They all knew though and eventually I was presented with a large pile of cakes and a card. Thanks everybody, loved it and all the messages as you all really touched my heart. Finished work early as my Girl had a surprise in store, I guessed it was one of two things. Either tickets to the Theatre which we had discussed or tickets to football. I figured the later as there was no chance she was going to football and my prediction was confirmed on opening the envelope. The Jersey Boys was the order of play and much appreciated to everyone involved in sorting it out and for my actual birthday as well.

Jersey Boys is a documentary-style musical based on the lives of one of the most successful '60s rock 'n roll groups, the Four Seasons. As the story progresses all four members of the group take their turn to tell their view of what is taking place. I thought this concept worked really well and it's very captivating. I had a close eye on what was taking place at both Anfield and Stamford Bridge but the stage had my attention more. Listening as you are taken through the background of Frankie Valli and the Four Season and I felt compelled to dance when tunes such as
Sherry, Big Girls Don't Cry and Can't Take My Eyes Off You were played. My Girl wasn't feeling too great as she has a headache but we admitted to each other after the performance that we both wanted to open up a big bag of shapes.

On to action in the Champions League and with Chelsea winning 2-0 courtesy of Ballack and Lampard (the duo who can't play together) and Liverpool rolling Arsenal over 4-2 with the expected dodgy penalty decision. It's on to the Semi Final we march for out annual meeting with Liverpool, whatever happens I have to go to the return leg as this game will be incredible. If not to the match itself I will be around Stamford Bridge screaming my head off. And at that point I finish for today and thank everyone for a wicked birthday which will roll on to tomorrow evening where I will large it up with everyone at my parents!
